Samsung has launched its Galaxy Grand Quattro smartphone in India. The smartphone is the newest addition to the Galaxy Grand series that the company launched earlier this year.

The dual-SIM capable Galaxy Grand Quattro smartphone is powered by a 1.2GHz Quad-Core processor and runs Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) operating system. The Galaxy Grand Quattro smartphone is fuelled by a 2000 mAh battery.

The camera on the smartphone comes with features such as Continuous Shot, Best Photo, Color Effect for enhanced photo-taking capabilities.

Announcing the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Grand Quattro, Mr Vineet Taneja, Country Head, Samsung Mobile, stated , “Galaxy Grand Quattro is a revolutionary device that combines powerful performance with smart multitasking and advanced usability. Following the success of the Galaxy Grand introduced in January this year , we are confident that the Galaxy Grand Quattro will meet the needs of consumers looking for the ‘Grand’ experience in a slightly smaller display.”

The smartphone comes with Smart Features that enables the user to control and connect with the device. Home screen and widgets offer Easy Mode feature to streamline access to the users’ top functions. Smart Alert features missed events such as missed calls and new messages just by picking up the phone. The device also offers Motion UI feature wherein it enables the user to perform common actions simply by movement, for example, shaking the mobile to update contents, turning it over to instantly mute the device etc.

The smartphone comes pre-loaded with ChatOn, Samsung’s cross-platform communication service that enables the users to socialise with friends and to do more than just instant messaging. ChatOn allows users to freely share multimedia content, do group chatting with friends and create personalised animated messages. The device also comes preloaded with a host of other applications including "Games Hub". The device is also loaded Samsung Apps store, which contains a variety of e-books, games, news, navigation, productivity, social networking apps etc.

Samsung has priced the Galaxy Grand Quattro smartphone at Rs 17,290.
